Shakti Bhakti is a student of Mukunda Stiles. She has attended yoga classes with many excellent teachers. Her yoga history began in Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire in the 1980s. Her teacher Sam Singh gave her the confidence and courage to view life in a new way. For several years she practised Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with Derek Ireland and David Swenson. Satyananda Yoga with Swamis Satyaprakash and Vedantananda developed deeper insights and led her to take initiation from Paramahamsa Niranjananda Saraswati. Shakti trained with Fay Beddowes of the British Wheel of Yoga to become a Yoga Teacher and Diploma Course Tutor. The BWY Pranayama Module with Philip Xerri helped develop an extensive pranayama practice.
Following an injury, Shakti Bhakti attended a workshop specifically for students with ailments or injuries with Mukunda Stiles. This was the beginning of a path to healing which continues to this day. Shakti Bhakti trained with Mukunda as a Structural Yoga TM Therapist and now teaches students both in groups and individually to enhance their well-being. She has attended workshops with him in Europe and India.
