McTimoney Chiropractor

Georgina Walker D.C., F.R.C.C., F.M.C.A., M.R.C.C.(Animal), A.M.C.

Georgina is trained in the McTimoney chiropractic technique and has over 10 years experience in chiropractic care for people and animals.

“I am passionate about working with my patients not only to resolve pain and ease symptoms but to understand the cause of the problem so that together we can identify what is required to prevent further issues. This may include postural related changes, lifestyle or old habits, or introducing simple stretches into daily routines. Understanding the cause or triggers allows us to work together to resolve the problem and help to improve health and wellbeing.”

Georgina is trained in the use of Low Level Laser Therapy and soft tissue and muscle release techniques, which can help to support the chiropractic work and aid recovery.

As well as undertaking regular continuing professional development (CPD), Georgina is active in the chiropractic profession, serving on the Executive for the McTimoney Chiropractic Association, and has variously been course leader, practical tutor and examiner on the Masters degree courses in Small Animal chiropractic and Animal manipulation for the McTimoney College of Chiropractic. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors, and a Fellow of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association.

Georgina is a keen rider and dressage competitor and has studied the biomechanics of horse and rider for many years, giving her a depth of understanding about the impact on both the horse and rider’s bodies which informs her treatment. A love of sailing and adventurous travel resulted in her participation in the last Global Challenge round the world race as first mate on the yacht Samsung! Since then the Southern Ocean continues to inspire her with trips to South Georgia, the Falklands and Antarctica. Closer to home, a love of gardening means she fully understands the urge to spend too long working in the garden on the first spring day and the resulting challenge to your body!
